The last few years, I’ve been so buried with work, I’ve not gone to as many conferences as I would like. But I always make time for LavaCon. This year, it’s in Portland, October 7-9!
Why Lavacon?
I’ve gone to Lavacon for years. I think it’s one of the best conferences because it’s targeted for the more experienced people in the industry. That means you are going to learn something, hear best practices from people who have been in the trenches for some time, and generally have a great time.
At the end of the conference, your head will be very full of good stuff to act on right now.
I’m giving 2 talks and participating in the Adobe Tech Comm Thought Leadership and Networking Event Saturday October 6 at 8am. If you are at LavaCon or in the Portland area, see me and we can chat!
Other activities
As I do at conferences, I’ll probably organize a Stitch and Bitch in the bar one night. If you do needlework, like knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, etc, feel free to come and hang out. If you just like to hang out, you’re also welcome.

There may even be a Local Yarn Store run at some point. I hear there are several near the hotel. Vacation yarn!
